Apple MacBook Pro 17-inch (Core 2 Duo T7700)

Being labeled very correctly as the thin and light laptop desktop replacement is the Apple MacBook Pro 17-inch (Core 2 Duo T7700; $3,799 direct). As stated it is thin and light and has a weigh of just 6.7 pounds, but with its awe-inspiring 17 inch widescreen, it is the one computer than can make your trust desktop go from the desk to the bin. Debuted in 2003, Apple has always worked on the form for the MacBook Pro 17-inch, the latest overhauling see the inclusion of Intel’s Centrino Duo platform and for the video lovers, the addition of the 17-inch MacBook Pro along with a 1,920-by-1,200 resolution.

The line is just 1 inch as we all know, the features keep upgrading every six months and it has to be a tough task to handle, but in typical Apple fashion it is being achieved, and being achieved quite well, the peers of this under 7 pounds laptop, the Dell Inspiron 1720 and the HP Pavilion dv9000t (Vista), both have a weight more than 8 pounds.

No tacky colors, no stickers and extra media buttons, this laptop has a completely clean look and is simple in its elegance.  The keys show subtlety, with each letter etched out dark on a silver background, which merges into the keyboards as you move away from it. The letters like in the dv9000t (Vista) then seen like an aberration to the beauty of a computer. The keyboard and the aesthetically designed touchpad are both in the centre with respect to the 17 inch drool inducing screen, with just one sole mouse button adding to the look of harmony and symmetry.

The only drawback of this laptop is the low options of less expensive options for configuration. The price paid is slightly high, though what it gets you are the fastest components on earth with the most impressive screen resolution and the new Intel Centrino Duo Platform.

So drool on whether you can afford this baby or not.
