Apple’s new Phatty
A leaked image of the sequel to the Apple’s mid range iPod nano gives a sneak peak at what it would look like and it seems that that it is not quite that flattering with a study stout look combining the wider screen and the narrow short body of the nano, giving this model a distinctly dwarflike look very out of league of the sleek Apple models we have come to associate. It is also apparently available in the paler colors of the I Pod nano, which are not exactly flattering according to the general public’s views.
Often quoted as the Fat, wide hipped looking iPod, it was considered to be a hoax by quite a few due to its uncharacteristic ugly looks, but the Apple’s legal team quickly confirmed the news by attacking the “stolen” image and thus making sure that the world knew that this monstrosity was for real.
Gizmodo was the first to come up with a mock image and a lot of bluntly put in your face criticism. “Compared to the iPhone, we think it looks like a step back,” said blog editor Jesus Diaz. “It better be 3mm thin — or else.”
Other sites were harsh as well about the looks of this fatty gadget starting with Engadget unflatteringly naming it the “iPod nano ‘phatty’ and comment posters labeling it the “Danny DeVito of iPods.” At iLounge, a size comparison harshly christened the mystery player as the “iPod bilbo” – which was not generally missed due to it familiar lord of the rings hobbit like appearance.
next week this gadget will be seen in the stores, whatever the reaction is checked out to be, which will be welcome due to the acute shortage of flash based players and with no knowledge of any kind of replacement and when it will finally be released. the ‘fatboy’ nano is now considered to be one of the replacements accompanying the refreshed iPod shuffles.
