iWork, .Mac and Mac Mini updated as well

The biggest addition to the new version of this gadget is the introduction of spreadsheets which was the biggest want in this gadget making it quite an enviable thing to have. The Numbers have also been added as a spreadsheet application.

The spreadsheets are “spreadsheets the Mac way” giving it an apt description because it isn’t your normal spreadsheets. It is definitely the newest way to lay with digits.

A single document can create a number of intelligent tables, and also multiple spreadsheets all in a single document. Excel files can be imported,  and graphs and charts created in the same document.

It is a perfect mixture of tabular data storage and a desktop publishing application.

A few other iWork high points:

• Pages - Switch between “writing” and “layout” mode depending on task
• Pages - Change tracking to keep up with document revisions
• Pages - Many new design templates
• Keynote - Tons of new text and transition effects
• Keynote - Voice-over recording

.Mac Updated

The mini me of evil Apple is often termed to be .Mac. Often on the verge of being out on the street, this baby has also got an upgrade.

Updates here include:
• Increased storage and bandwidth going from 1GB to 10GB of storage and up to 100GB of bandwidth
• You can now associate an actual domain with your .Mac account

Mac mini Updates

mac-mini.jpgA long year has passed since the Apple has last looked into the Mac mini. Quite a few of it being abandoned, but today in a quite sock to everyone, it has been upgraded and now is a new Mac mini, quite and upgraded. The update though is not much to get exited on, the major enhancements are plainly higher speed and better memory.
