The iPod Camera Connector
The iPod Camera Connector is a great little tool for increasing the capability that you have to work with photographs from compatible cameras. If you have an iPod photo, iPod with color display or a Fifth Generation iPod, you can view photographs that you have imported from a USB digital camera or media reader. You need an iPod Camera Connector to perform the import function for your digital photographs.
Touch Up Photos On Your PC
After you have retrieved your photographs from your digital camera, you will be able to send the pictures to your personal computer for touch ups, sharing, printing and storage. You can view the photographs on a television then transfer them to your computer and from there to your iPod.
You can only import photographs that your camera stores in the DCIM folder on its media card. Unless you have the Mass Storage protocol, you will not be able to use any of the movies and music that is not in the DCIM folder. If your camera uses the PTP protocol, you can import movies and sound with your photographs. Check your camera specifications to see the type of protocol that it uses.
